I have been working in theatre sound since 2003. Hailing from a background of classical music training and after obtaining Grade 8 in Piano, I undertook a Sound and Image Design BA at Rose Bruford. While studying, I met Franko Figueredo: Director of Stonecrabs Theatre Company and composed music for their production for young audiences  A Real Princess. I have continued to work with Stonecrabs on a diverse range of productions since then, most recently Some Kind of Love Story for Quay Arts IOW.

I worked as company Sound Designer and Composer with Dance/Alternative Theatre company PanicLab between 2008 and 2016 (and with Director Joseph Mercier on his solo projects). I found joy and magic in collaboration, devising and theatre making, this has led me to specialise in this kind of work when I can. In 2017 I worked with Oxford Samuel Beckett Award winners mars.tarrab on their show Roller at the Barbican Pit, an amazing all woman company.

In 2016/17 I was able to work with Director Neil Bartlett on his shows: Stella (part of Lift Festival, Brighton fringe and Holland Festival) and The Plague at the Arcola. Here I was able to explore the dramaturgical power of sound. These were two of my favourite designs.

I've been continuing to work with the Theatre Royal Bath and their Young Company, designing and mentoring on many of their productions, also delivering a 5 week series of workshops on Sound Design for Theatre and a special one off NT Connections Sound Workshop.  I was also a designer/mentor on Coneys' 'The Droves' project which sought to find out if children can create immersive theatre for adults. For the past few years I have designed and mentored for Kiln (Tricycle) Theatres community and young peoples companies as part of their Takeover Festival 2016, Mapping Brent 2018 and for their Minding the Gap projects.

Other areas of past sound design/composition work include short films, sound walks, DJ for Baby Raves and music for hypnotherapists. I designed 24 hours of sound for an installation at Burning Man Festival and had the lead sound design role for an app based Audio tour of London (Unreal City Audio).
