I have been working in theatre sound since 2003. Hailing from a background of classical music training and after obtaining Grade 8 in Piano, I undertook a Sound and Image Design BA at Rose Bruford. While studying, I met Franko Figueredo: Director of Stonecrabs Theatre Company and composed music for their production for young audiences  ‘A Real Princess’. I have continued to work with Stonecrabs on a diverse range of productions since then, most recently Busu and the Damask Drum, which was at Edinburgh Festival this summer.

An alliance with the Physical Theatre company PanicLab was formed in 2008 when I designed sound for their first show, which premiered at the Edinburgh Festival. Through working with PanicLab (and with Director Joseph Mercier on his solo projects), I have been able to have a more active role as a theatre maker, and collaborator and have had opportunity to play with different approaches to sound.

This past year I was able to work with Director Neil Bartlett on his last 2 Shows: Stella (part of Lift Festival, Brighton fringe and Holland Festival) and The Plague at the Arcola in May. I've been continuing to work with the Theatre Royal Bath and their Young Company, designing and mentoring on their productions and have also been a designer/mentor on Coneys' 'The Droves' project which seeks to find out if children can create immersive theatre for adults. This is ongoing into 2018.

Other areas of past sound design/composition work include short films, sound walks, DJ for Baby Raves and music for hypnotherapists. I designed 24 hours of sound for an installation at Burning Man Festival and had the lead sound design role for an app based Audio tour of London (Unreal City Audio).
